Raoul Galli
Location
Raoul Galli works at the Department of Social Anthropology, Stockholm University, and is a collaborator in the research group for Sociology of Education and Culture at Uppsala University. His main research interests are in the relations between culture, power, and social inequality. His soon to be defended dissertation deals with the production of recognition in the advertising industry, more precisely the Stockholm ad world. The study is inspired by the work of Pierre Bourdieu and approaches the Swedish advertising industry in terms of a social field of production. The point of look-out is the transnational advertising agency TBWA’s Stockholm office, where daily observations have been conducted during a one year fieldwork.
